The proposed source of replacement for this pit is fully consumable water leased from
the City of Longmont and Consolidated Mutual Water Company: The City of Longmont
wastewater treatment plant is located approximately 20 miles upstream of this new aggregate
operation. A 0.5 percent per mile transit loss (10.0 percent overall loss) has been accounted
for in the replacement. The Consolidated Mutua! water will be released from Metro Wastewater
Treatment plant, which is located approximately 42.5 miles upstream of the operation. A 0.5
percent per mile transit loss (21.25 percent overall toss) has been accounted for in the
replacement. The monthly depletions and replacement requirements are found on the table
below.
