CHAFFEE COUNTY MINING PERMIT <br />SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS <br />The Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board Mining Permit application addresses the <br />following required information concerning the Chaffee County requirements. <br />1. Proof ofOwnership -Exhibit G <br />2. Index Map -Exhibit A <br />3. Aerial Photos -Exhibit A <br />4. Detailed Plot Plan -Exhibit E <br />5. Mineral Resources -Exhibit B <br />6. Geologic Conditions - Exhibit B & E <br />Please find attached the additional information required by the Board of County <br />Commissioners <br />Analysis of the Commercial Feasibility <br />The river pazk access road project will be the first phase of construction. The long term <br />goal of the proposed project is to create a small recreation area along the east bank of the <br />Arkansas River. This will provide a recreational setting that enhances the natural <br />resource setting on site. <br />Evaluation of the real estate conditions in terms of costs, accessibility and overall <br />environment are consistent with growth potential for the azea. River access is a valuable <br />asset. Future recreational open space will enhance the value of the property. <br />Analysis of the Fiscal Impacts <br />The material extraction for the river access road will not be a full time operation. We <br />have requested 10 yeazs to limit community disturbance. <br />1) Al] required sign posting will be in effect before removal of material. <br />2) Hours of operation will be monitored <br />3) Work closely with the Colorado Department of Transportation to maintain safety. <br />Comprehensive Plan <br />Chaffee County current land use pattems in the area include but are not limited to <br />established residential properties, commercial rafting companies, mining, agricultural, <br />and commercial activity along the 285/24 corridor. <br />The recreational river access will direct growth in a manner that is supportive of mazket <br />trends and existing land use pattems. The subject property location, proximity to the <br />river and acreage are key success features. <br />Water and Sewer System <br />Water needs for the river access road will be for dust control only. This will be tracked <br />in as needed. <br />No sewer system will be needed. The features permitted will not require a sewer system. <br />
