• sagebrush, using Museaum Special asap traps baited with peanut <br /> butter. The trapline, located southwest of the haulroad in the <br />northeast ~ of the northwest '~, Section 12, Township 5 North, Range <br />86 *deat, consisted of 33 trap stations spaced 10 meters apart, with <br />twa snap Crape positioned at each station. Traps were checked both <br />morning and evening at which time data concerning species and <br />location were recorded and traps rebaited. Twenty-two traps were <br />located in aspen/mountain shrub type and 44 in sagebrush, which is <br />the predominant type. <br />Relative abundance for each habitat was calculated for small <br />maul species according to the following formula: <br />• Percent Relative Abundance = No, individuals of Species A a 100 <br />individuals of all species <br />A literature review was conducted to identify all animal <br />species possibly occurring within the proposed permit and the <br />surrounding areas and to determine their importance. Particular <br />attention was given to the DSDI-FWS-0BS (1978) mapping system. <br />Methodologies Employed, Avifauna <br />Dames and Moore (1975) - Literature was reviewed to obtain a <br />list of bird species possibly occurring in the habitat types present <br />in the proposed permit area. Species observed during on-site visits <br />(May, June, July 1974 and August 1975) were recorded. <br />• ERT/Ecology Consultants Inc. (1978) - ALL methods used for <br />2.04-90 <br />
