the east to northeast 16.3 percent of the time and from the west to <br />southwest 31.3 percent of the time. Also, winds with velocities <br />exceeding 15 miles per hour blow out of the west-southwest 7.5 percent <br />of the time. Winds so light that their speeds were not detectable (0 <br />to 3 miles per hour) occurred 6 percent of the time. The remaining <br />occurrences of wind speeds by direction, accounting for 34.4 percent of <br />the observations, occurred randomly with none of them occurring more <br />than 3.8 percent of the time. <br />Weather Station at CYCC Mine No. i. A weather station was operated <br />by CYCC at Energy Mine No. 1 for the period of 1977 through 1978. This <br />station was established in January, 1977. Temperature and precipitation <br />information from the weather station are found in Table 11, Weather Data -- <br />CYCC Station. <br />Rule 2.04.9 - Soils Resource Information <br />(1) The applicant shall provide adequate soils information for the <br />permit area, or in the case of underground mining activities, for those <br />portions of the permit area to be disturbed by surface operations and <br />facilities. Such information shall include at a minimum the following site <br />specific information: <br />(a) Description, sampling and analysis of soil horizons in <br />sufficient detail to determine the depths to which identified materials <br />should be salvaged. <br />2.04-63 Revised 11/5/87 <br />
