The vegetable matter +vill remain +vith the topsoil. <br />Other than the "Overburden Stockpile" all other individual stockpiles twill be kept at a maximum <br />size of 1.(1(10 tons each until use. This will result in piles with approximate dimensions of base of <br />fif~y(i0) feet, height of forty (~l(q feet and a length of eighty (80) feet. <br />As mining progresses; an arcs that +vill no longer be required for use ++•ill be Hnal graded, the <br />topsoil restored and that area reseeded according to the "Reclamation Plan". The mining++•ill <br />proceed in a clockwise direction with the reclamation of an area already mined occurring behind <br />it. The Topsoil removed from the nest phase +cill be used on the area already mined. The <br />previous area will be reclaimed as quickly as is reasonably practical as mining progresses. <br />GENERAL ARRANGEMENTS: Layom of the mining operation is Oexible and the locations of <br />stockpiles is expected to mote as the mining progresses per operations convenience. <br />The topsoil +vill be piled near the East border labeled on the "Beginning Grading Plan " as <br />"Overburden (Topsoil) Stockpile" <br />The small mnounts of Clav material encountered al the site Dill be used mainly as binder for <br />local grace) roads. Any Clay found +vill be tempomrih stored iu the area IiUed "Clay Stockpile" <br />on the map. Note again that stockpiles +vill nor exceed 5.(100 Ions. <br />Tltc larger Boulders and Cobbles +vill be stored in the area sho+vn on the "Mining Plan Map' <br />tilled "Oversize Stockpile". The Boulders attd Cobbles will be used for erosion control. Rip-Rap. <br />barriers. landscaping or other such uses by the County' of Custer. Occasionally they will may be <br />crushed and used in chip seal. <br />The Counn• estimates a maximum Gravel usage of 30.1100 tons per year. The Sand and Gravel <br />+vill be screened, crushed, sorted and piled in the area labeled "Gravel Stockpile" on an as needed <br />basis Note that the operation of a crusher is a rare occurrence and some dust is created during <br />us opcrauon. <br />GRADING: Proper grading and cart +yill be taken on a continuous basis for the prevention of erosion at <br />the silo. Shortly aficr anv major rainstorm the "PERMIT AREA" will be examined for am• <br />erosion and reports immediately performed. <br />Tcmporan• diversion ditches will be used to redirect surface mnofl around and away from pit <br />areas m order to prevent the erosion of silt imo the pit area. Sce ditch details al the end of This <br />Exhibit. Water impoundutcm will not be permitted. Straw bales will be used to filter out silt at <br />settling basins and located at points along the drainage ditches as required. See details at the end <br />of thts Exhtbu. No tmtks will be stored on site All handling and spill cleanup regulations will be <br />observed. Liner and debris will be removed on a regular basis. <br />IMPROVEMENTS: A "Landfill Access Road" ntrrenlly exists along the Eastern !lank and inside of the <br />"PERMIT AREA" boundary and is being used to access the "Custer County Landfill". The "PIT <br />HAUL ROAD" will be a new extension of the "Landfill Access Road" and twill be used to haul <br />materials iu and ow of the silt This road is sho+vu on the maps extending along the Southeast <br />edge don•n imo the mining arcs. Driving will occur in the pit areas as required and is nor <br />
