EXHIBIT G
WATER INFORMATION
It is the operators intent is to minimize the disturbances
to the prevailing hydrologic balance of the affected land, of the
surrounding areas and to the quality and quantity of the surface
and ground water system, both during and after mining and recla-
mation. Willits Company, Inc. believes they are in compliance
with all state and federal laws and regulations governing water
and water rights as they understand them. Because of the geo-
graphic features around the mine, all offsite runoff is or will
be diverted around the disturbed area.
Review of Division of Water Resources well permits in the
area around the site indicated the ground water table lies 140+
feet below the surface in this area. Information available
indicates that the spring noted in the reclamation plan is
approximately 8080 and that water tables could slope up to 8120
in the north east corner of the site. If this is true than the
mine floor will be no closer to the water table than 5 feet on
the site. Ground water will not be exposed by this operation so
a well permit, Temporary Substitute Supply Plan and/or Augmenta-
tion Plan is not needed for this facility. The landowners have
adequate water available to supply initial makeup water. We
estimate dust control for the various parts of the operation,
i.e. roads, crushing, etc. to be 15 ac-ft per year and an addi-
tional 12 acre-feet will be needed if washing takes place. This
water will be obtained from a source approved for that use. No
water will be used for reclamation, nor will the revegetated
areas be irrigated.
20
