RECLAMATION PLAN EXHIBIT E Icontl
RSVEGBTATION PROGRAM
The revegetation program to be implemented is detailed
below. It incorporates recommendations taken from the report
prepared by Ms. Heeney of the Natural Resources Conservation
Service's, Kremmling area office. Her report is located in the
SOILS AND VEGETATION section of this application .
RSVBGSI'ATTON INPORbiAT/ON
The topsoiling plan presented earlier and the revegetation
program are devised after careful review of the existing soil
conditions and present vegetation, both on site and in the
reports contained in the SOILS AND VECETATioN section. Revegetation
will be carried out in such a way, so as to establish a diverse,
effective and long-lasting vegetative cover that is capable of
self-regeneration without continued dependence on irrigation,
soil amendments or fertilizers. The plan is designed to create a
vegetative cover that is at least equal in extent to the cover of
the natural vegetation before mining. we have chosen to enhance
the MRCS seeding recommendation and have added additional native
species to the mix. The revegetation plan provides for the
greatest probability of success in plant establishment and
vegetative development by considering environmental factors such
as seasonal patterns of precipitation, temperatures and wind.
other considerations, such as soil texture, fertility and slope
stability have been considered. The RECLANAnoN PLAN Mar shows the
sloping plan and areas that will be revegetated for the site.
Seed will be drilled wherever possible, when drilling is not
possible, the seed will be broadcast. In areas that where it may
necessary to broadcast seed the seed amounts will be doubled.
Since the intended use of the reclaimed land is rangeland and the
slopes will be restored to rates commensurate with such use. A
weed control plan is included in this application to address
noxious weed control.
Access roads will be left through the areas to be planted to
provide access for planting crews and for the supervision and
inspection of the completed reclamation. Only the main access
road will remain when mining ends to ensure the owner's have
access to the pit area. Final grading on the road will be done
before the pit is closed.
13
