EXHIBIT D
MINING PLAN AND TIMETABLE
LO(ATTON
The property is located in Grand County approximately 1.25
miles east of Granby, Colorado. It will be a single stage mining
operation located on 38.65 ac. t north of the Praser River and
east of County Road 60 . Please refer to EXHIBIT B - VIGNITY MAP for the
property configuration and the relationships to surrounding
geological features. The area to be mined lies north of the
Fraser River on an elevated terrace deposit of gravel.
CURRENT CONDITIONS
The permit area covers a 38.65 acre ± parcel and the site
elevation is approximately 8250 feet, sea level datum. County
Road 60 runs long the north and west sides of the site and the
Fraser river is approximately 2200 feet south of the site.
Historically some gravel extractions has taken place on the site
and our discussion with neighbors indicated this was in the pre
1970. The old gravel mining area covers approximately 2.60 acres
and it appears to be very old. The pre-permit disturbed area
also includes a 2.45 acre area used by a contractor when County
Road 60 was rebuilt in 2001. Equipment and construction materi-
als were stored in various area on the north side and in the old
disturbance area. Some of the waste material from that project
is still on the site. Review of the area would suggest that no
new mining has take place in the old mine area for 10 plus years.
The PRE-MINING MAP - EXHIBIT C shows how the area looks at this
time, the pasture is fairly lush with a heavy sage brush cover.
The old mining area has been left with near vertical slopes, no
topsoil and miscellaneous junk on it. This pre permit distur-
bance area (5.05 ac.) is shown on the map and since mining will
redisturb the area it will be reclaimed when mining is done. The
gravel deposit is an terrace deposit that averages 100+ feet deep
across the property.
MAP EXHIBIT C shows the outline of the mining area, the touch-
ing landowners, easements and ROWS, the 200 foot ownership,
current topography, and hydrologic features of the property. The
land is presently used as under utilized rangeland by the land-
owners. Portions of the permit area are old mining area and non-
irrigated rangeland. Surrounding property uses include irrigated
3
