That all construction debris wiU, be disposed of on land in such a manner that it cannot <br />enter a waterway or wetland. <br />8. That equipment fox handling and conveying materials during construction aha11 be operated <br />to prevent dumping or spilling the materials into the water except as approved herein. <br />9. That care wilt be taken to prevent any petroleum products, chemicals, oz other deleterious <br />materials from entering the water. <br />10. That all work in the waterway is performed in such a manner so as to minimize increases <br />in suspended solids and turbidity which may degrade water quality and damage aquatic fife <br />outride the immcdiate area of operation. <br />11. That the clearing of vegetation will be limited to that which is absolutely necessary for <br />construction of the project. <br />12. That when the District Engineer has been notified that a filling activity is adversely <br />affecting fish or wildlife nesouro°s or the harvest thereof and the District Engineer subsequently <br />directs remedial measures, the germittee will comply with such directions as may be received <br />to suspend or modify the activity to the extent necessary to mitigate or eliminate the adverse <br />effect as required. <br />A. Until surveys for ~pj~~ ~yy~ have been completed and verified by the U.S. Fish <br />and Wildlife Service, the boundaries of the existing wetlands areas will be flagged and cordoned- <br />off to prevent impacts from construction activities. <br />B. To mitigate for the 13.6 acres of wetlands excavated or filled during the mining <br />activities, 13.6 acres of wetlands will be created on site. <br />C. Annual reports documenting the progress of the temporary and final mitigated wetlands <br />will be submitted to the Carps of Engineers Tzi-Lakes Project Office in Navembez of each year <br />commencing in 1996 or beginning twv years after the first wetland impacts occur. <br />D. On-site interagenry meetings will be convened every three years beginning in 1997 to <br />review the impacts to the wetlands and the progress of the wetland mitigation plan. The <br />permittee will oontxt the Tri-Lakes Px+oject Office during June 1997 to azrurge the first on-site <br />
