<br />to the conduct of Lessee's coal mining operations thereon, and to <br />install and place thereon such machinery or machines and equipment <br />• in connection therewith as Lessee may deem necessary or desirable <br />for the aforesaid prospecting for and mining and stripping of coal <br />fro:a said lands and the preparation and mar.leting and disposing <br />:::^ereof, an3 with the right to the ?.ass.a to remove all such prop- <br />ertf so olace3 thereon by it at any time within six (6) manths <br />after the termination of the term hereof. It is understood and <br />agreed that this lease is or may ba being taken or held by Lessee <br />in conjunction with other leases upon adjacent or nearby lands to <br />the premises leased, and the premises herein granted may be worked <br />in conjunction with such other leases and Lessee is hereby granted <br />an easement during the term of this lease to transport production <br />from other leases over the premises hereby leased, and to construct <br />thereon roads, utility lines, drains and culverts in connection with <br />• its operations on the premises leased or on other lands; it being the <br />intent and purpose hereof that Lessee may conduct whatever operations <br />it may deem necessary or desirable in the efficient and economic op- <br />ezation of this and other leases in the vicinity of the leased prem- <br />ises. <br />3. Lessee has paid to Lessor $1,000.00 upon execution <br />hezeof and agrees to pay annually thereafter on each anniversary <br />date of this lease the amount of $1,000.00 as advance rental for <br />each year of the term hereof. Lessee will pay to Lessor an amount <br />equal to 7~9 per ton (2000 pounds) for coal mined, retro ved and sold <br />from said premises and for t2ie use thereof and in complete settle- <br />r.,ent of damages to said premises by L=_ssee's operations thereon. <br />The advance rental payments shall be applied to and credited against <br />• payments due on coal so mined, removed and sold from said premises. <br />Lessee agrees, however, that actual payments made to Lessor during <br />the term hereof shall by the end of such term equal at least $300.00 <br />-'- <br />
