2.04.7(1)
Current Water Quality Monitoring Plan
The current hydrologic monitoring plan consists of the following:
• Alluvial wells AA1 and AA3
-Annual Sampling and analysis -see below
- Quarterly collection of Field parameters
- Visual inspection of samples for oil and grease
• North Fork of the Gunnison River
-June and December, Field Parameters and laboratory analysis for
conductivity, total dissolved solids, total suspended solids, iron and
Manganese
• North Fork of the Gunnison River during August as detailed below.
• Springs G-26A, G-266 and CR-12
- Monthly Flow and Field Parameters May through November
• Annual hydrologic report due March 15th of each year
Field parameters include either flow or depth to water, pH, conductivity and
• temperature.
Flow for the North Fork of the Gunnison River will be obtained from the USGS
Somerset water stage recorder for both upstream and downstream flows. The gaging
station is located in the SE'/aSW~/a of Section 10, Township 13 South, Range 90 West
in Gunnison County approximately 2.3 miles east of Somerset and 4.8 miles upstream
from Hubbard Creek. The recorder is located on the south bank of the river across
from the reclaimed Hawksnest Silos. The gage is a water-stage recorder with satellite
telemetry.
Annual Sampling and Analysis of Alluvial Wells AA1 and AA3
Alluvial wells AA1 and AA3 are analyzed annually for the parameters shown on Table
4F, Alluvial Well Parameter List. The location of the wells are shown on the Facilities
Map (Map 10).
I •
2.04-30
Rev. 1103
/?1 R-a5
<P.N ro y~
A PPROV6/,) I ~// v/03
