Details of the approved CDPS permit are presented in
Exhibit 4, Permits for Mining.
Groundwater Monitoring Wells and Visual Inspection Background
Prior to September 1985, the Operator had been monitoring groundwater by sampling
three (3) groundwater alluvial wells. The wells were sampled on a quarterly basis.
During August 1985, the Operator submitted a technical revision to reduce the water
quality monitoring program. The technical revision was subsequently approved by the
Division in December 1985.
The following groundwater analysis information has been included in the Permit
Document for the 27 months preceding approval of the technical revision:
• Table 4A, Quarterly Water Quality Monitoring Results
• • Table 4B, Water Quality Comparison - 1983 and 1984
• Table 4C, 1983 Monthly Alluvial Well Monitoring Results
• Table 4D, 1984 Monthly Alluvial Well Monitoring Results
• Table 4E, 1985 Monthly Alluvial Well Monitoring Results
• Figure 2A, Water Quality Analysis, Conductivity
• Figure 26, Water Quality Analysis, Iron
• Figure 2C, Water Quality Analysis, Manganese
• Figure 2D, Water Quality Analysis, SAR
• Figure 2E, Water Quality Analysis, Dissolved Solids
• Figure 2F, Water Quality Analysis, pH
• Figure 2G, Water Quality Analysis, Nitrogen (Ammonia)
r 1
LJ
2.04-29d
Rev. 11 /02
MR-a5
C R/v -0 4~
/9PPRovED l~~14~03
