k]G-2C-l~yb d1=23PM FROM Ground Exploration TO 7219298 P. 11
50' deep. These were abandoned by over drilling the P.V.C_ casing and
trimmie grouting to the surtace.
Rocky Mountain Arsenal:
Ground Exploration Company, Inc. has drilled at this site since 1984.
Previousy I had drilled on this site with numerous other firms from mid
and early 1970's, when it was still a alive pesticide plant. Do to the
extensive contamination throughout the site care must be taken, at all
times, to ensure that the holes are properly grouted and that the wells are
properly sealed. The upper materials are moderately to extremely
contaminated. We have drilled the areas of the known nerve gas spells
and in Basin F. (Said to be one of the most contaminated areas in the
United States.) Our most recent project at the Arsenal has been the
abandonment of 50 wells that were no longer in use or damaged. We
abandoned these wells by over drilling to remove the casing and
grouting the boring with Portland cement with 5% Bentonite.
Industrial Landfill, Highway 36 NE of Byers Colorado:
Ground Exploration Company, Inc. has drilled numerous monitoring
wells and soil borings at this site. This is one of the few licensed facility
in the State of Colorado which accepts industrial waste products. One of
the problems drilling on this site is that there are small sandy layers in the
upper bedrock, which have water in them. Careful sampling must be
taken during drilling the determine where these layers are, so that the
depth of the monitoring well can be determined. Ground Exploration
Company, Inc. has been involved in drilling monitoring wells at this site
for the past 5 years.
Industrial Site along Clear Creek In Golden Colorado:
Ground Exploration Company, Inc. has drilled at this site placing
monitoring wells and recovery wells. We have placed 6' recovery wells
that produce over 50 gpm. These wells were placed using hollow stem
augers and O-Dex. Do to the large cobbles and twulders encountered
on this site drilling conditions are moderately to extremely difficuR.
