<br /> <br />~J <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Groundwater Sampling Protocol <br />Purpose <br />' The primary goal of collecting samples for analysis is to minimi~. p~1ea] or chemical <br />alteration of the sample during the withdrawal process. This protocol is for use at UST <br />' locations which require fluid level measurements and sampling for organic constituents. This <br />protocol is necessary to ensure that field sampling problems such as cross-contamination, <br />improper well evacuation, or improper sample collection techniques do not occur. <br />Data Collection <br />' All data wt11 be recorded in black ink. <br />' Minimum required field notes for sampling will consist of the following: <br />1. A properly completed field activity log that detatls the project name, the <br />' activity to take place, the date(s), time of arrival, weather conditions, visitors <br />onsite, changes in plan (if any), important phone calls, and any other <br />significant evenu that take place at the site wh$c Greystone personnel are <br />' present (See example). <br />' Z A properly completed water level and product thickness form that detafls the <br />well number, casing elevation, time of measurement, product level, water level, <br />product thickness, corrected elevation, job number, date of measurement, <br />initials of person measuring levels, and an address of the site. A column is <br />' also reserved for commenu (See example). <br />t 3. A properly completed monitor well sampling form that detat7s the site <br />location, project number, site conditions, well numbers, diameter of webs, <br />date, time, total depth of each well, water level within the well, evacuation <br />' method, gallons removed, sampling method, and comments (See example). <br /> <br />-1- P,wocot IORJBS <br />
