~•
SPILL PREVENTION CONTROL F COUNTERMEASURE PLAN - 9/87
Page 2
(e)(1)(i) Normal storm water accumulation wiChin the diked areas either
evaporates or percolates. Should excessive water accumulate or
should a tank fa i1, portable pumps stored on the pro party would be
used to drain the area. Records of all drainages will be kept aC
least three years. The form for recording drainages from diked
areas is shown as Attachment A.
(e)(2)(i) The construction of and material used in all storage tanks a[ the
facility are compatible with the material stored in them.
(e)(2)(ii) All non-buried tanks are surrounded with dikes sufficiently imperme-
able to contain a spill until it can be removed. The shop/warehouse
storage area has provisions for dcainage to a waste pond. In the
event of a spill, [he oil is routed into a lagoon with a confinement
boom. The detention Cime and surface area on [he inlet side of the
confinement boom allow the petroleum effluent to be trapped behind
the boom, where it may be pumped off and disposed of. Any remaining
petroleum effluent is Chan removed [h[ough two concrete underground
oil separator tanks. The clean water is discharged while the col-
lected oil is disposed of. All non-buried tanks will be subject to
visual inspection annually. Records of all inspections will be kept
on file for at least three years.
(e)(2)(iv) Buried metallic fuel storage Canks will be moniWred for leaks by
i monChly inventory controls. If a Leak is suspected, a pressure Cest
will be conducted. Records of aL1 tests will be kept on file for aC
least two inspections. The tanks are covered with a hituminous
coating for corrosion protection.

(e)(3)(i) Piping systems at [he facility era designed and operat ed in a manner
[o prevent spills. A11 underground piping is wrapped for protection

l cont.
