5. The Division shall not require that Water levels shall be measured more
frequently than monthly during periods when no mining in the groundwater zone
and no pumping of ground water is being performed; nor more frequently than
twice monthly during periods when there is active mining in the groundwater
zone or pumping of ground water is being performed.
6. The permittee shall report the water levels in the standpipe on an annual basis as
part of the annual report or upon request by the Division.
7. Other than state personnel (accompanied by representatives of the permittee),
no outside persons shall be allowed access to the standpipe. The standpipe will
be kept locked when measurements are not actually being taken.
8. The need to continue measuring of water levels in the standpipe shall be
reviewed by the Division upon request by the permittee and discontinued for
good cause shown.
9. Failure to obtain measurements due to conditions which would create a threat to
employee safety and health (such as flooding, severe weather conditions, etc.)
shall not be considered a violation of permit conditions.
10. If reasonably feasible, the standpipe will be installed to bedrock, but if not
reasonably feasible, the standpipe will be installed to at least 20-25 feet below
ground level. As the reported height of the water in the Robinson is 5 feet below
ground level, this will be adequate to determine any reasonably likely impact.
11. A two- to four-inch (or larger) diameter PVC or steel pipe with standard screening
and gravel packing will be installed.
12. The permittee will provide a copy of the driller's log or other geologic log, to show
the stratigraphy, and a copy of the piezometer completion log, to the Division.
If this is acceptable, please let us know so that we may proceed with planning.
S
Aryol B
Commit to additonal if the well ever runs dry.
