RECEIVED
APR ~ $2006
Minine Plan Exhibit C
Division of Minerals and Geology
This is an open faced construction materials mine located approximately 17 miles north of
Debeque Colorado on County Road 211. Mining access will be via a private road one mile north
of the end of County Road 211.
The proposed mine will be for private natural resource development. The duration of activity
at this site will be dependent upon the amount of mineral resource development in the area and
the amount of material in on this site. The site is currently used as dry land range and consists of
a large talus slope on the east side of the road. The material on this slope ranges from 0 to 60 feet
deep. The soil covering ranges from 0 to 5 inches thick. The toe of the slope will be removed as
mining progresses from north to south. The material will be excavated with excavator/loader
working the face of the slope. Trucks will haul off the material as needed. The material will be
removed down to a horizontal surface which follows the elevation contours of the toe of the
slope. A dozer will push down the high wall material creating terraces as a safety break making
the slope more stable and reducing the need for reclaiming a large high wall. The pre mining
slope is 3h to lv. The post mining slope will be brought back to a lh to lv. This will be
achieved using a dozer to knock slough down the face of the terraces using the breaks as a means
for access.
The material will be used to supply construction material for mineral resource development in
the area. The landowner will use the flat surface created after mining as a staging area for
equipment after mining subsides. The sloped areas will be re-contoured to a desired angle of
repose to insure stability of slope when mining has ceased.
The area of disturbance will not exceed 8.0 acres. Terraces will be formed on the mined slope
for access and stability during material removal. The flat azea developed by removal of the
material will be utilized as a drilling pad and for mineral resource recovery.
The material will be excavated with a dozer and loaded with a front end loader. No blasting
will be done on this site. All material excavated from site is for the sole use of the landowner
none will be sold. The material excavated from this site will not be processed. No major stock
piles will be needed on site because the material will be excavated on an as needed basis. Mining
activity will vary from month to month depending on the amount of material needed.
The mine will operate year round with periods of inactivity when adverse weather conditions
exist. There may be periods when no activity takes place on the mine because there is no demand
for material. No estimate is available for how long these periods of inactivity will be, but may
last 6 months or more.
Mining will be done by using a dozer to push material down the mine face into piles. It will
then be loaded into dump trucks by a front end loader. On site equipment may include, but is not
limited to, a motor grader, front end loader, motor scrapers, a dozer, dump trucks, a water truck
and a track hoe.
Water use will be limited to dust control. These services will be combined into an existing
contract Chevron has with Dalbo Services, Inc. Dalbo controls the water lease contracts
pertaining to this site and other activity in the area.
NOATH CLEAR CREEK CONSTR[iCTION MATERIALS MWE CORDII.I.ERAN COMPLIANCE SERVICES, INC
EO7574 PAGE90F 21 GRAND]GNCQON, COLORADO
