The hole plug was placed via tremie pipe in one
continuous vertical lift.
Uinta
A lower Uinta Formation well (29~U) was installed as the third completion
in this borehole. A 10-ft, 2.0-inch-OD, Schedule 80 PVC, #10 slot screen
was installed at 530 to 540 ft in a high porosity zone.
• The silica sand filter pack was placed from 520 to 548 ft. All annular fill
materials were placed via the 2.75-inch-OD tremie line.
• The Uinta Formation well casing was constructed with a string of 2.0-inch-
OD, 0.96 Ib/ft, Schedule 80, flush joint PVC casing in nominal 20-ft lengths
• from surface to 530 ft.
• The annular interval above the lower Uinta Formation well, from 512 to
520 ft, was sealed with 10 sacks of 3/8-inch bentonite chips.
• The interval from 34 to 512 ft was sealed with 243 sacks of Aquagard
grout. The grout plug was placed via tremie pipe in one continuous
vertical lift.
Phase Well Development
Developed well with airlift and bailer until parameters stabilized.
Total July Development Volume from Uinta = 2,040 gallons
Total July Development Volume from A -Groove = 1,515 gallons
Total July Development Volume from Dissolution Surface = 1,820 gallons
2n0 Development Phase
Although parameters stabilized during development of this well in July, the
well still did not appear to be developed; more volume was pumped in
August.
Total August Development Volume from A -Groove = 19,680 gallons
Sampling
• July 20, 1999 water quality samples collected from 29-4U, 29-4A, and 29-
4D using stainless steel bailer.
u
