Pavlik: <br />On December 16 and 17, Tim Chervick, Environmental Coordinator, <br />performed an inspection of all Sediment Control Ponds at Lhe <br />Deserado Mine. Z have assigned Tim Chervick ae my designsttd <br />inspector. <br />I am a professional engineer registered in the State of Colorado <br />and my experience fulfills the requirements of the Colorado Surface <br />Coal Mining Reclamation Act. <br />The purpose of this inspection and certification was to ensure <br />proper construction of all Sediment Control Ponds and to satisfy <br />the requirements of Rule 4.05.6 (11) (a) of the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board. in completing this certification, an inspection <br />was conducted of all Sediment Control Ponds and construction site. <br />The inspection showed no problems at the DP-1 Sediment Pond <br />concerning cracking, erosion, rodent activity, or displacements in <br />tht following areas; upstream face, downstream face, and the crest. <br />No seepage was located on any of the dam areas. The outlet conduit <br />was in good shape and no leakage was noted. The emergency spillway <br />showed no signs of deterioration or trosion and the riprap was in <br />good condition. No effluent quality could b~ noted at inspection <br />time, alnce the pond was not discharging at the outlet. <br />beetle Wm <br />Pl0.
