SECTION 1.0 2003 Annual Reclamation Report As specified by the revisions (1/3/90) to 2CCR 407-2, 2.04.13, Trapper Mine is submitting an Annual Reclamation Report for the previous calendar year (2003). Historically, section 3.5.3 of Trapper's mining and reclamation permit required a reclamation map be submitted to the CDMG annually by March 15. Subsequent to 1988 the map entitled the "Postmine Contour Map" was changed to "Reclamation Map" The reclamation maps developed from aerial photographs taken during the previous fall shows pit advancements, recontoured spoil areas and a historical account of the previously regraded areas for the year. The 2003 reclamation map is a composite of the aerial photographs taken in October 2003, and shows the reclamation performed during 2003 for all areas under bond. Map(s) 1 show the aerial extent and location of mature shrub clumps, disturbed acres, graded acres, topsoiled acres and perennial seeded acres during 2003. It also shows the location, aerial extent and reclamation year of all previously revegetated areas, as well as the projected mature shrub clump establishment areas, topsoil stripping areas and laydown areas for 2004. 1.1 Permittee Identification RECt~A They Permittee for this annual reclamation report is: I~ ~~D MAFt .i 1 2004 Trapper Mining Inc. The various reclamation stages are addressed below in separate subsections. 1.2.1 Disturbed Acres In 2003, Trapper disturbed 80.0 acres resulting from topsoil salvage for pit advancement, haulage corridor construction, topsoil stockpile construction, and other miscellaneous activities as approved by the Division. 1.2.2 Backfilled and Graded Acres Trapper backfilled and graded to final contour (AOC) approximately 147.6 acres in 2003. These acres were in Derringer, Flintlock and Hawken pit areas, along with final reclamation of sediment pond drainage areas in West Buzzard, East Buzzard and Elk Gulches. In addition, s 24.5 acre parcel that was reclaimed in 1987 (A-C-87A) and unintentionally left off reclamation maps for many years is included on Map 1 (sheet 1). i ~- 1.2.3 Topsoiled Acres Trapper retopsoiled 147.6 acres during 2003 in Derringer, Flintlock, and Hawken pits, along with reclaimed sediment pond drainage areas in West Buzzard, East Buzzard and Elk Gulches. 1.2.4 Seeded Acres There were 147.6 acres seeded to permanent reclamation in fall 2003. Included were 107.1 acres of former active pit disturbance in Derringer and Flintlock pits.
