Box 204 <br />Redvale, Colorado 81431 <br />Re: Well Construction and Water Quality Information, Lilylands Coal Company <br />Dear Mr. Andrews: <br />The enclosed material provides information on the location and design of <br />monitoring wells. After reviewing this material, and prior to drilling, you <br />should submit the following design information to us for initial approval: <br />a. well diameter; <br />b. probable depth; <br />c. probable perforated interval; <br />d. size and distribution of perforations; <br />e. type of material, locations, and thicknesses used for <br />i, casing; <br />ii. packers; <br />iii, screens; <br />iv. packing material; <br />v. sealants (grout, etc.); <br />f. well development methods performed following completion. <br />Following drilling, completion records for each well should be prepared which <br />document actual construction and development, the elevation to the top of the <br />casing, the location(s) and thicknesses of water bearing zones within the <br />well, and the stratigraphy associated with the site, including lithologies <br />(rock types) and thicknesses. <br />423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203-2273 Tel.
