<br />Page 3 <br />these facilities the mines sediment control system can be used to <br />contain material before leaving the mine site. Once the spill is <br />contained efforts will then be turned toward recovering the free <br />liquid material. This material, after determining that it does not <br />contain any hazardous materials, will typically be placed in mine's <br />waste oil tank for recycling. Any material not suitable will be <br />handled in a manner compatible with the mine's Waste Management <br />Plan. Any soils contaminated by the spill will be tested (TCLP) <br />and also will be handled in accordance with the Waste Management <br />Plan. <br />In the event that a spill or unplanned discharge cannot be <br />contained using mine personnel and equipment the contractor listed <br />below is available for spill containment: <br />Moore Engineering and Equipment Sales <br />3629 S. Galapagos St. <br />Englewood, CO 80110 <br />(303)789-1009 <br />This firm has a 24 hour a day emergency crew available for delivery <br />of needed materials or spill clean up work. <br />CERTIFICATION: <br />This contingency plan will be reviewed, at a minimum, annually <br />within 30 days of the NPDES anniversary date. Updates and <br />corrections will be made at this time. <br />I the undersigned, hereby certify that this NPDES Spill Prevention <br />and Containment Plan represents to the best of my knowledge and <br />belief conditions present for the prevention and clean up of <br />spilled material at this facility. Structures mentioned in this <br />Plan are either present or currently under planning to be <br />constructed.
