a. Do not seam if ambient temperature is below 14° F or above 100° F. <br /> <br />b. Do not seam during precipitation, in the presence of excessive moisture (e.g. <br />fog, dew), in an area of ponded water, in the presence of excessive winds. <br />c. If the ambient air temperature is between 35° F and 14° F for the entire shift, <br />Cold Weather Seaming provisions will govern. <br />1. The INSTALLER will be required to perform a minimum of four <br />trial seams during the planned work shift, at approximately the same <br />time interval throughout the scheduled work day. <br />2. If the Soil Liner Fill is considered frozen as outlined in Item 3.06 of <br />Section 2200, the INSTALLER must place seaming boards or slip <br />sheets when seaming. Seaming boards or slip sheets shall be <br />removed by INSTALLER. <br />PART 2: PRODUCTS <br />2.01 MATERIALS: <br />A. The geomembrane shall be a polyethylene. The geomembrane shall be manufactured of new, <br />first-quality resin produced in the United States or Canada and shall be manufactured specifically <br />for this type of application. <br /> <br />B. The geomembrane sheet shall be comprised of a minimum ninety-six (96) percent pure <br />polyethylene. The remaining portion shall be made up of materials necessary for the <br />perfomtattce of the liner (such as carbon black, anti-oxidants, etc.) The geomembrane rolls shall <br />meet the following SPECIFICATIONS: <br />The surface of the geomembrane shall not have striations, roughness (except texture as <br />specified), pinholes, or bubbles and shall be free of holes, blisters, undispersed mw <br />materials, or any contamination by foreign matter. MANAGER and CERTIFYING <br />ENGINEER may request additional testing in order to support such acceptance. All <br />such testing shall be done at the sole expense of the CONTRACTOR. <br />2.
