2010 the area disturbed will gradually decrease until about 2045 when
• the site is anticipated to be fully reclaimed. The last areas to be
reclaimed will be the area of the industrial park.
TY.E RECLAMATION PLAIT AIID ITS IMPLEMEIdTATION - Up to this point the
land uses and the sequence of reclamation has been discussed. The
specific plan will not be presented. The presentation will follow
the format of Rule 6.
Grading - The quarry area will be graded to a topographic configuration
not unlike that of the original land. Some Local deviations will be
necessary but these will all be rather minor and should blend well with
the surrounding areas. F.oughly, the contours will follow those shown
in Exhibit F, Reclamation Map. More precise representation than is
shown here cannot be presented because exact removable quantities of
limestone cannot be projected for a given place. The contours shown
• are helieved to be a good approximation.
Most of the land will be sloped to 2:1 or less. Some local
areas may he much steeper and approach nearly vertical, but these
should blend with surrounding topography. The most notable example
of this is an area near the entrance to the canyon in Tract C. This
ridge of material cannot be mined without disrupting adjacent lands and
will have to remain. Most of this ridge was created by the previous
operator.
The other area of general deviation from the general sloped
pattern of the quarry will be within an area from. the top of the quarry
down to about the 7500 foot elevation contour. This area because of
its s*_eepness, will have to be terraced. each terrace will have a
. bench about 20 feet wide that is sloped into the hill about 1° and will
have a gradual slope from center to the edges to a1'_oca drainage.
