r~
2.05.4(~(c) Backfilling and Grading.,jcontinued~
The location of the coal in the Phase 2 mine leaves a lot of unanswered questions as to
depth and the degree of past underground mining. It appears only economically feasible
to strip to a 6:1, overburden to coal, ratio and this configuration may well occur before the
East high wall is reached. Economics will dictate the configuration of the pit rather Utan
what is shown in the application.
Equipment used in the backfilGng and grading operation will include drag line, dozer,
scrapers, loaders, trucks, and blade.
The topography of the post mining surface of the Phase 1 & 2 pits is shown on Map No.
7.
Backfill and grading operations will be directed to achieve the Division's recommendations
of A 4H:1 V slope or less wherever possible.
There will be apost-mining topography survey certification after backfilling and grading.
•
As of the end of 1993, all areas were backfilled and graded according to the approved
plans. 7'he actual final topography map is shown as Exhibit KK-1, however, all cross-
sections shown on Map No. 7 are accurate.
•
-3-
Revised for permit renewal l1l17l95
