• ® •
EXHIBIT D
Reclamation Plan
1. As stated earlier, overburden will be spread on the mined
slopes and the processing area when mining is complete. The
reserved topsoil will be placed at a depth of 6 inches on the mined
slopes. (During the course of the mining operations, topsoil
stockpiles will be segregated in the northeast corner of the pit
and identified with signs. The topsoil stockpiles will be seeded
to establish a vegetative cover.) The remaining overburden will be
evenly distributed over the floor of the pit to prepare the ground
for home sites. The work will be done before March 1999.
2. Slopes will be graded to 3:1 or less in the mined area.
3. Measures to be taken to revegetate the site:
a. Overburden will be placed on the slopes at a depth of 6
inches. The remaining overburden will be evenly distributed over
the floor of the pit.
b. Seed selection and revegetation will follow recommendations
by the S.C.S. Seeding will be done in the late fall of 1998 or
early spring of 1999. Depending on development within the
subdivision seeding may occur earlier or be done in conformity with
a future subdivision landscaping scheme.
c. A seed mixture from the S.C.S. office is included. (See
Attachment 2)
d. Seed will be spread using a seed drill.
e. No mulch is planned for use in this reclamation.
f. No trees and/or shrubs are planned for use in this
reclamation.
4. The haul road will remain and will become part of the
subdivision road system. All equipment will be removed from the
effected land. All stockpiles will either be removed or graded
flat and the site will be left in a neat and orderly manner.
5. Due to the size of the natural aggregates and the products to
be manufactured, no waste rock is anticipated. No washing of sand
or aggregates will occur thus there will be no tailings or sediment
control facilities. No buildings will be constructed in
association with the mining. The site will be re-graded and
revegetated and sold for residential development.
6. Estimated costs of reclamation. (See Attachment 3)
