4. IMPACT ANALYSIS BY PRIME SPECIES
a. AVIAN
(1) WATERFOWL
Waterfowl are ubiquitous but restricted to the waterways that
provide suitable habitat for their life activities.
Suitable habitat xas found on several small livestock ponds and
along the Green and White Rivers.
Waterfoxl are prime species due to their values as a game
• species. Many species are summer breeding residents and
potential for migrating species is great.
Construction of the xater corridor proposes the only major
impact on the Waterfoxl population, but its severity is lessened
by the mobility of the Waterfoxl.
Impact could be lessened if construction took place after the
spring reproduction and fall migration periods.
In general, on a low to high perturbation scale of 0 to 10 we
estimate impact to be 0 to 1.
•
II.H-90
