'~
When we didn't address this problem as information addressed on page #2 from
August 28 correspondence. United Companies state they allow the following four water
users to receive water from their outlet stream (which is not a head gate from the
distribution box, but a cut in the main line with a backhoe which washes out as water eats
away the dirt opening, causing uncontrolled water release). United, Becker, Chappell and
Hasty receive water thru United Companies property.
We now have a person who bought the 80 acre ranch to the~plsth of us with
certiScated water from the Ouray Ditch and has no water distributed to him as his ditches
run along the west side of the United Companies and are now gone. Good luck with this
problem! I'm sure you will be hearing from him.
I feel we will all learn a few things about the problems of allowing
businesses to move into agricultural areas.
Gravel companies have moved away from mining gravel along our water systems
because of environmental regulations and govt control. Within our agriculture areas no
one has experience as to the problems these changes in use, can have!
The other issue we are concerned with is allowing United to have Technical
Revisions to their permit at their discretion without reseazching the effects those changes
will have on others. Each change and each issue not addressed causes more problems that
will eventually have to be solved. They are stat~pthese revisions will be in effect for
another3 yrs. your n-ff~~ a hna •W /ey~~rYioNf j'oJ~Ye Vie''' o,~`~""'~a6icw
~ .farvLA ~ ,S e- Pne~Q;e r+'~ oo- a/fev- .~`; ~; itN y :.artjJf •rla~+ f wa7e•- :s e ~r lcy+; (~7 Ne(~u'
Example: If someone replaced your water tap to your house (without permission) ran the
water to their property and then let 83.4 percent move water into your house, blew your
water lines, flooded your house, your septic system and your property. I don't think a
person would feel as long as you're getting water, there must be no problem. In the
meantime your neighbor has no water because of itl
Sincerely,
~~~- ~~~
Stuart Chappell
