<br />Surface Discharoe Points - There are 9 SDP's in the monitoring program. <br />With one exception, they are all sediment pond discharges as follows: <br />• 301 - Pond A <br />• 302 - Pond B <br />• 303 - Pond C <br />• 304 - Pond D <br />• 305 - Pond E <br />• 319 - L.O. Pond <br />• 320 - Loadout Ditch <br />• 321 - Pond F <br />• 322 - Pond G <br />Each of the sites is to be visited once per week during March through <br />June, and once per month during July through October. No monitoring is <br />required at these sites during November through February. <br />Each time an SDP site is visited, the following field data should be <br />collected and recorded on a Surface Water Field Data form. <br />• If Flowing <br />CJ <br />• <br />- Station no. <br />- Date <br />- Time <br />- Sample bottle no. and analysis type (for lab samples - see <br />below) <br />- Gage reading <br />- Temperature <br />- pH <br />- E.C. <br />- Oil and grease (note if a sheen exists or not) <br />Please note: If a sheen is observed, a lab sample <br />is required (see below) <br />- Note any comments; weather, rain, snow, snowcover, <br />snowmelt, damage to monitoring station, necessary repairs <br />or any unusual circumstances <br />- Initials <br />- Collect lab samples <br />Each time flow is observed, collect one 1,000 ml (500 ml <br />for Site 320) raw sample and one 250 ml raw acidified <br />sample. If an oil or grease sheen is noted, collect one <br />1,000 ml raw acidified sample in a glass bottle. Record on <br />23-179 <br />
