Fencing/Boundary:
Approved fencing will be installed along the
west, south and east proposed permit boundary. The
east and west boundary fences will intersect with
the existing Colorado Highway 14 right-of-way
fence. Removal of the fences will be executed at
the conclusion of the final reclamation phase.
Final Reclamation
The final reclamation phase is scheduled to be concluded
by or before the year 2005.
Soils information and vegetation description used for the
site is enclosed in Exhibit "B". The data is from the Jackson
County Soil Survey and the Field Office Technical Guide
respectively using "Cabin" and "Randman" sandy loams
specifications. Soil samples extracted from the site by the
operator indicate an average of approximately 16 inches of soil
cover, i.e., 4 inches of topsoil and approximately 12 inches of
subsoil.
After mining operations are completed, soil from the
respective stockpiles will be placed, spread and graded on the
final remaining, disturbed Stage area. Topsoil replacement will be
scheduled so that seeding can be executed immediately to deter wind
or other erosion effects.
The recommended seed mix for the site is enclosed in
Exhibit "B".
Equipment Selection:
Equipment selected for transport of the soils
from the stockpiles for backfilling, contouring and
grading is:
1 Cat 627E Motor Scraper
1 Cat D7H Dozer
1 140G Motor Grader
Detail of estimated volumes, production rates
and costs for reclamation are included in Exhibit
.,E~~.
4
