The seam shall <br />be performed according to the recommendations of the <br />liner manufacturer. <br /> 7.2.4 Re airs <br /> Prior to the placement of the protective layer or <br /> leak detection material over the synthetic liner <br /> material, the Engineer shall inspect the liner <br /> installation. <br /> All faulty seams, punctures, tears or damaged areas <br /> in the liner shall be repaired to tha Engineer's <br /> satisfaction by applying a patch over the damaged area. <br /> The patch shall be of the same material as that of the <br />damaged area, and shall overlap the damaged area a <br />minimum of 12 inches. The patch shall be seamed to the <br />original liner according to the recommendations of the <br />liner manufacturer. <br />1 7.2.5 Liner Protection in Ponds <br />The synthetic membrane liner shall be protected from <br />punctures and rips by installation upon a properly-rolled <br />and smoothed base, and by limiting access across the <br />liner to foot traffic. Laborers shall be restricted to <br />1 those wearing approved footware. Following the <br />installation of the liner and until the ponds ar? filled, <br />the liner shall be sufficiently weighted with :;and bags <br />to prevent damage from the wind. <br />7.2.6 Testing and Field Inspection <br />The Contractor shall provide the Engineer with a <br />copy of the manufacturer's quality control testing for <br />each shipment or partial shipment of liner if tte entire <br />N-23 <br />
