<br />~~ <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />i <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />7.2 HDPE Liner <br />7.2.1 General <br />The lower liners for the solution ponds shall be <br />40-mil HDPE or approved equivalent. <br />The upper liner for the solution ponds anti leach pad <br />shall be 60-mil (minimum) HDPE or approved equivalent. <br />The 60-mil liner shall be installed as shown in the <br />drawings. Welded seams shall be made in accordance with <br />manufacturer's recommendations and are subject to <br />approval by the Engineer. Direct vehicular contact with <br />the liner shall be avoided to prevent damage to the <br />liner. <br />7.2.2 Spreading <br />Each liner panel shall be removed from its <br />packaging, unfolded or unrolled, and spread into place. <br />Each panel shall be placed into the proper location <br />without stretching of edges that are to be field seamed. <br />When each panel is properly located, the panel shall be <br />smoothed to remove wrinkles in the liner. <br />All field seams in flat or graded areas shall be <br />overlapped with the upslope panel lying on top of the <br />downslope panel. Field and factory seams or slopes shall <br />be aligned perpendicular to the slope contours. <br />7.2.3 Seaming <br />Field seaming shall be performed using a method <br />recommended by the liner manufacturer for the liner <br />material and acceptable to the Engineer. Before seaming <br />is performed, the liner surfaces to be seamed shall be <br />N-22 <br />
