MINING PLAN ADDENDUM EXHIBIT C
WATER RESOURCES
This is a dry mining operation. There are no water
structures on or adjacent to the site. An small creek runs along
the southern edge of the site and caries runoff from the area
west and south of the site. The bottom of this creek is approxi-
mately the same elevation at the mine floor. Mining will not
reach the ground water table since mining will be on a gravel
bench above the creek. The closest water body is the Williams
Fork River, approximately 2200 feet east-northeast and 50 feet
lower that the site.
There is no ground water elevation information available for
the area. However, we do not expect to encounter ground water on
this site because its floor elevation will be 0 to 20 feet lower
than the existing ground elevations or 20 feet above the creek.
We will not affect the hydrologic balance of the surface or
subsurface water in the area. No water is used at this site.
SLOPING PLAN
As noted in the application Grand County committed to
sloping any mined areas to a rate no more that 2:1. Grand County
may choose to leave some at the 3:1 rate but will only commit to
leaving reclaimed slopes a minimum of 2:1. The floor of the mine
will have a gentle slope from the base of the 2:1 slopes on the
west and south sides to the north side of the mine to maintain
positive surface drainage as required by the USFS.
MINING METHOD, PROCESSING METHOD AND EQUIPMENT
Mining will be-done~by using front-end loaders and dozers to
remove the bank material and deliver it to the processing plant.
Processing will take place on site using a portable screen and
crusher. The plant will not be permanently located on this site.
This plant will be located close to the mine face as it advances
to the south.
On-site equipment may include, but is not limited to, a
motor grader, front-end loaders, motor scrapers, a dozer, convey-
ors, a crusher, a screening plant, dump trucks and a water truck.
REGEB~JED
JUN 0 51Q06
Division of Minerals and QnnIaBY
