The permit area encom s <br />undeveloped land where some previous mining has occ ri <br />Nickens and Associates of Montrose unty Colorado has performed <br />extensive Class II cultural resou ces surveys of the area which <br />were completed in 1980. An inten ive pedestrian survey of areas to <br />be disturbed by exploration an site investigation activities was <br />performed from June 27 through June 30, 1983 by Gibbs & Hill, Inc. <br />on the behalf of NCEC. On September 12 through September 19, 1983, <br />an additional pedestrianrsurvey was completed by Nickens and As- <br />sociates. A summary,~~of the results from these surveys are <br />presented in Exhibit 3.2-1.
