<br />Alfalfa and yellow sweetclover - Both are adapted legumes which <br />will help in supplying nitrogen <br />into the soil. They have the <br />disadvantage of bloating cattle <br />and sheep if the site will be <br />used for livestock grazing. Drill' <br />at a rate of 8 pounds per acre <br />' of pore live seed at a depth of <br />~ to ~ inch. Ladak variety of <br />alfalfa is a good drought re- <br />sistant variety that is well <br />•• adopted to this area. <br />All reseedings should be sprinkler irrigated for the first <br />three years to insure good stand establishment. <br />Fertilization recommendations should be based on soils <br />analysis results taken at the time of reclamation. <br /> <br /> <br />
