~ ~, •
•
Wildlife Information
Exhibit H
C~
Cold water habitat able to sustain trout is of mediocre quality
•
and the inacessibility to the creek severly limits fishing activities.
The only use of the land by big game is for crossing the creek on
relatively minor migration routes. No endangered or rare species are
affected in or near the quarry area. Some species of wildlife observed
frrnn time to time near and around the quarry area are:
1. Magpies (pica pica hudsonia)
2. Unidenified Fringillids (sparrow forms)
3, Raccoon (procyon lotor)
4. Red Fox (volpes fulva)
5. Mule Deer (odocoileus hemiomus)
6. Striped Skunk (mephitis mephitis)
The quarry area receives very little fisherman use and practically
no hunter use due to the private land lease agreement.
Care shall be taken to preclude disturbance of wildlife either
existing or new inhabitants, See Division of Wildlife report attached.
•
