owners of such other leasehold interests so that both this <br />lea schold and such other leaseholds may be operated in a <br />manner acceptable to the Lessor. <br /> ARTICLE 2 - Hining Rights <br /> Lessor hereby gives end grants to the Lessee all <br /> mining rights and privileges vested in Lessor for mining and <br /> removing all of the leased coal by strip or deep mining <br /> . methods or by any other method deemed appropriate by Lessor. <br /> Such rights shall include the right to remove the soil, <br /> subsoil and other strata overlying said coal and deposit it <br /> above, along and below the outcrop of the coal and on the <br /> mined areas; the right to make such openings, cuts, fills <br /> i <br /> i <br />and slopes as may be reasonably necessary and convenient for <br /> mining and removing the leased coal by strip or deep mining <br /> or other methods; the right to drain the eater from said <br /> Iand and from the coal thereunder into the nearby drains and <br /> streams; the right to construct, maintain and use access <br /> roads through Lessor's property for removing the leased coal; <br />~. the right to construct such branch or feeder roads from the <br /> coal to said principal access roads by reasonable and practical <br /> routes as may be reasonably necessary for removing said <br /> eoa l; the right to construct thereon such preparation plants, <br /> tipples, sidings, romps and other structures as are reasonably <br /> necessary for mining and removing the leased coal; and the <br /> right to do and perform thereon all such other things as may <br /> be reasonably necessary and convenient for mining and removing <br /> all of the leased coal, all without liability for damage to <br /> the residue of said property, or to anything therein or <br /> thereon, or to any eater or eater courses therein or thereon, <br /> by the reasonable and proper exercise of the rights herein <br /> given, to the extent,that Lessor has the legal right to <br />~• <br />- 12 - (Rev. 5/86) <br />
