Mr. James B. McArdle
April 17, 1981
Page 3
order to keep it fairly close to the excavating operation.
The operator will keep the crusher as far to the south as pos-
sible at each new setup.
7. "The possibility of a conservation easement on the
river should be explored. The Division of Wildlife will assist
if this is possible." We are not certain what a conservation
easement is, but we will assume that it is an easement allow-
ing access to the river. Along most of the north boundary of
the property there is no contact with the river; a thin inter-
vening strip was sold to others by the original owner. There
may be one or two spots where the operator's property touches
the river, but these locations would be extremely limited and
of little value.
8. "Revegetation should be done using cottonwood trees,
willows, wetland vegetation, native grasses and shrubs."
Reference is made to the "Revegetation Program" in Exhibit E
(pages 19-21 of the MLRB application). This recommendation has
been considered and is covered in the Reclamation Plan.
Yours truly,
~~ ~~~
President
LEO:amo
Enclosure
cc: n4obile Premix Company
