.n,

4.11 COAL MINE WASTE
No coal mine wastes are associated with this technical revision.
•1.12 SLIDESAND OTHER DAMAGE
(1) No mining activities are associated with this project.
(2) If a slide occurs in the permit area the Division will be notified as stated in
the Division Rules and Regulations.
4.13 CONTEMPORANEOUS RECLAMATION
Mountain Coal Company will conduct interim and contemporaneous
reclamation when the laydown and storage area is no longer required for
exploration and underground fire suppression activities.
4.14 BACKFILLING AND GRADING
(d) The laydown and storage area will be regarded approximately to original
contours when the area is no longer needed to support exploration and
underground fire suppression activities.
4.15 REVEGETATION
Revegetation will occur as directed in the Mountain Coal Company Mining
and Reclamation Permit No. C-SO-007, Section 2.05-50. All disturbed areas
will be reestablished with the same seasonal variety as agreed upon between
Mountain Coal Company and the Division. Mountain Coal Company's intent
is to distribute the plant species in clusters to maximize the benefit to wildlife.
This will provide adequate edge effect, cover and forage benefits for the
wildlife species occurring on and adjacent to the site. Due to the post-mining
land use of the area by recreational enthusiasts it is possible that the
revegetation process may be hindered by foot and vehicle traffic.
4.16 POSTMINING LAND USE
Reclamation activities will create conditions of use equal to or better of
supporting the pre-mining land use, as a parking and staging area by
recreational enthusiasts. Previous use has left this area with sparse
vegetation, little topsoil, and a gravelly surface. Mountain Coal Company
will fertilize and revegetafed area, while leaving in place sediment control
structures. The area will be returned to its previous uses of wildlife habitat,
grazing, and recreational uses.
13
