<br />with approximately 8 inches of overburden and 4 inches of topsoil consistent with the <br />reclaration plan. <br />Phase 2 will begin with the stockpiling of topsoil in the south portion of the azea and <br />segregated from the overburden stockpile ofphase 1 to prevent contamination. The <br />overburden of Phase 2 will be stockpiled in the north portion of the azea. Mining will <br />proceed in the same manner as Phase 1. Approximately 3 acres of a predisturbed azea <br />totaling approximately 20 acres exist immediately within the north boundary line of <br />Phase 2. There has been mining activity in that azea prior to the application for this <br />permit. Topsoil and overburden have been removed from the area. No grading or <br />reclamation efforts aze evident. The area has vegetative cover typical of rangeland which <br />minimises risk of erosion or off-site impact. <br />Sand and gravel are the primary commodities to be extracted and will be distributed <br />on Kiowa County roads. There aze no expected incidental products to be mined. <br />
