Doc Date:12/11/2001 <br /> <br />Section 780.14(c) Continued. <br />III'II'"~Ii1"'I' <br />Revised 04/20/90 <br />(1) Maps, plans and cross-sections for sedimentation ponds may only be <br />prepared by a qualified registered professional engineer; and <br />(2) Maps, plans and cross-sections of spoil disposal facilities may only <br />be prepared by a qualified registered professional engineer. <br />Kerr Coal will not be constructing a new coal storage and loading <br />area, nor will it be constructing anew explosive storage and handing <br />facility. <br /> <br />Hydrologic calculations for the existing sedimentation ponds were <br />performed by Mr. Les Botham, P.E. of the consulting firm of Leonard <br />Rice Consulting Water Engineers, Inc. Calculations for proposed <br />ponds were completed and all design information organized and <br />reformatted by ACZ INC. Geotechnical studies for the sedimentation <br />ponds were performed by Roger Barker from the consulting firm of Chen <br />and Associates. Their work, including maps, plans and cross- <br />sections for the sedimentation ponds is included within this <br />application as Exhibit 42, Drainage and Sediment Control P1 an. <br />All maps, plans, and cross sections described above have been <br />prepared by, or under the direction of and certified by a qualified <br />registered professional engineer, or a professional geologist, with <br />assistance from experts in related fields such as land surveying. <br />Maps, plans and cross-sections for sedimentation ponds have been <br />prepared by a qualified professional engineer as stated above. <br />(~F Section 780.15 Air pollution control plan. <br />(a) 4~For all surface mining activities with projected production rates <br />exceeding 1,000,000 tons of coal per year and located west of the 100th <br />meridian west longitude, the application shall contain an air pollution <br />control plan which includes the following: <br />780-34 <br />
