Section 780.11(b) Continued.

Revised 11/20/80
onto Union Pacific Railcars for shipment. Included at the Kerr
Tipple Facility are a raw coal stockpile area, feeder breaker,
double roll crusher, conveyors, stoker coal stockpile, and train
loadout. Detailed discussion of the operation of the Kerr Tipple
Facilities is found in Section 780.12 and is visually portrayed in
Figure 12, Kerr Tipple Layout, and Figure 13, Kerr Tipple Crushing
Facilities.
Because Kerr Coal plans to maintain coal production at its present
rate of 750,000 tons per year throughout the life of the proposed
mining operation, no construction or modificiations are necessary
or planned at the Kerr Tipple Facility.
All facilities, including drainage and air pollution control facil-
itites on the Kerr Tipple Area, are continuously maintained in good
working order, to assure that the public safety and the environment
are protected.
Upon the permenant cessation of operations at the Kerr Tipple, all
surface facilities will be dismantled and removed from the site,
and the area will be graded to the approximate original contour,
topsoiled, and revegetated. Further discussion on reclamation plan
is found in Section 780.18.
Non-Coal STaste, Handling, and Removal.
Solid waste such as garbage waste and used paper products generated
as a consequence of mining activities will be disposed of in trash
cans located at the shop office, warehouse facility, and at the
tipple facility. Such waste will be periodically hauled to the
open pit, dumped and buried to a depth less than 50 feet and great-
er than 20 feet below ground level, to prevent leaching from con-
tact with ground water.

780-11 as
