N N ~5
overburden, or similar measures.
9. On private land, where conditions seriously inhibit plant growth, planting will be delayed
or provided on substitute acres to be determined at that time based on agreement with the
Forest Service and Mined Land Reclamation Board. All areas disturbed on Forest Service
land will receive restorative treatment.
REVEGETATION MONITORING:
Species cover and shrub density will be measured each year to assess reclamation success.
The reclaimed area will be compared to the surrounding area and will be used as criteria to assess
revegetation success.
BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES:
The only structures currently located within the gravel mining are is a 20' wide utility
easement along the West line of the mine boundary. It currently has a 4" steel gas main in the
center of the easement with a 2" plastic gas pipe along side in a common trench. There will be no
material removed from the easement area so as to make it have less cover over the pipes.
SIGNS AND MARKERS:
A sign will be posted at the entrance to the gravel mine site and will be visible from the
access road, showing the operators name; a statement that a permit has been issued for the
operation by the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board; and the permit number.
2. The boundaries of the affected land will be clearly delineated by placement of monuments
or other markers.
4
