(ii) Seeding, if required, will occur at the conclusion of Applicant's operations within
[he time allowed by Rule 3, Section 3.1.3. To the extent that the Mine entrance
area should be roughened prior to seeding, roughening may be accomplished by
raking the area to be seeded.
(iii) Because Applicant does not intend to remove existing vegetation and soil in the
Mine entrance area, it will be easy to determine at the conclusion of Applicant's
operations the grass, forb and shrub species to be planted, as well as the
appropriate concentrations of each. These species, in [he appropriate
concentrations, will be seeded to the extent required at the conclusion of
Applicant's operations.
(iv) Because of the small area which could be affected, seed application, if required,
likely will be by hand broadcast.
(v) Applicant does not anticipate that much will be required for establishment of
vegetation meeting the requirements of Rule 3, Section 3.1.10.
(vi) Because of the current lack of trees in the Mine entrance area, and because of the
small area involved, Applicant proposes that no trees be required. However,
Applicant will cooperate with the surface owner in [he event that it ultimately
requires trees to be planted.
(d) Post Reclamation Poirds, Streams, Roads and Buildings.
There are no ponds located on the affected lands, and Applicant does not anticipate
constntcting any pond or other water facility.
The only stream identified on Exhibit E -Map is the intermittent stream described in
Exhibit B -Site Description, Paragraph (c). This stream does not lie within the affected lands.
Applicant has not observed any present day expression of such a stream.
The access road described in Exhibit A -Legal Description and Location Map, Paragraph (1)
and in Exhibit G - Source of Legal Right to Enter, is the only road crossing the affected lands.
The access road will remain after completion of Applicant's operations and reclamation.
Because the Applicant's operations are so limited, Applicant does not anticipate the need for
remedial work on the road at the conclusion of operations.
Unless removed by the surface owner, Applicant anticipates that all of [he man-made
structures identified in Exhibit B -Site Description, Paragraph (b) and on Exhibit E -Map will
remain after conclusion of Applicant's operations and reclamation. Indeed, of the structures
identified, only [he grate covering the Mine entrance is within the pernrit boundary. Applicant
may expand the size of the door which provides access to the Mine through the grate. Applicant
does not intend to construct any buildings on the affected lands.
Exhibit D - 2
