5.

3. FIELD PROGRAM
lJ
A three phase step drawdown tes conducted at well W-15 on
September 7, 1982. The ~tw-o wealls associated with this test are
completed into the Stollste'f"m r Creek alluvium. A submersible
pump capable of pumping a maximum of 40 gpm was installed in
Well W-15, earlier in the day. Static water levels had been
monitored by CRCC monthly and Piteau & Associates monitored sta-
tic water levels just prior to the test.
The step drawdown test was initially conducted in order to
determine the optimum pumping rate for a 24 hour constant
discharge test. Three steps were performed. The pumping rate
3.1 PROGRAM SET-UP
Piteau & Associates was asked to conduct the aquifer testing at
the CRCC mine begining September 7, 1982. Two tests were con-
ducted, a three phase step drawdown test and a 24 hour constant
discharge to at wells W-15 and W-9, respectively (See loca-
tions plate /L A /
~e ~ .101 •~l~e.~
Construction and development of all wells was conducted by CRCC.
Two submersible type pumps were installed in the two pumped
wells on September 7, 1982 by Aqua Pump, Inc., a local contrac-
tor. Power was supplied by a diesel light-plant supplied by
CRCC. A11 water levels were measured with Powers Well Sounders,
the measurement taker! from the top of casing. Flow rates were
measured using a 5 gallon bucket and stop watch.
? VJ-/~ \
3.2 STEP-DRAWDOWN TEST AT WELL W-15 ~ ~ ~ ~ G^'~~ (S~^'~""~/
t as
