EXHIBIT D
MINING PLAN
Mining will be accomplished in 6 phases as outlined below with stripping,
backfilling, and quarrying going on simultaneously. The overburden
material consists of sandstone rock containing 50% 5102 and SO% CAC03.
This material does breakup and will generate considerable fines which
will aid in subsequent revegetation. The underlaying bed is again sand-
stone rock with the same chemical composition as that of the overburden.
The parting plan between the limestone and the underlying sandstone is
clearly defined, which results in a smooth hard floor after the limestone
ie removed. This would be very close to the existing terrian which is
rock outcropping.
~ Conventional open pit quarrying methods will be used in this operation.
Both the sandstone overburden and limestone will be drilled ;ind blasted.
The shot rock will then be loaded and hauled to the crushing, screening,
and stockpiling area. Necessary roads will be constructed a:: required
to provide access to the mining operations. The roads will tie constructed
primarily with the overburden material and covered with 3" to 12" of
3j4 minus limestone. Roadways will not need to be constructed outside
the disturbed area and will be graded, covered or scarified t:o facilitate
revegetation.
i
~~ i
