2.05.4 (2) (p) SEALING OR MANAGING MINE OPENINGS. EXPLDRATION <br />• HOLES. OTHER BOREHOLES OR WELL <br /> <br />Permanent Portal Sealing Design and Cost ~ <br />~~:~ . <br />After the mines are permanently closed, each of the ei~l drift <br />openings will be sealed in accordance with 75.1711-2 of the Code <br />of Federal Regulations for underground coal mines. The openings <br />will be completely filled with incombustible material for a <br />distance of 25 feet into each opening. The incombustible <br />material to be used will be overburden. See cross-section on <br />following page for details. <br />Costs for each opening: <br />D-8 dozer equipment cost <br />• 2.5 hours x $85/hour = E213 <br />C IO~penings to be sealed 10 x 213 = 12130 <br />During the life of the mine, the portals will be kept free of <br />debris, loose coal and water. <br /> <br />528 <br />
