ESTIMATED
• ACTIVITY TIME FRAME
Re-test soils in areas showing less vegetative cover; evaluate Completed 10/98
suitability pazameters.
Evaluate revegetation success on reclaimed mine site (year 3 Completed 10/98
evaluation).
Submit report to the Division, including soil and vegetation data, Completed, and submitted with
documenting vegetation success and reclamation recommendations. 1998 Annual
Reclamation Report
Perform inter-seeding and fertilizer application on non-topsoiled RDA Completed 10199
slope areas (approx. 5.0 acres), as approved by the Division.
Proposed work to include application of chemical fertilizer (20-20-10)
at 200 Ibs/acre, and drill seeding and/or broadcast seeding at the
approved seeding rate. Seeding will be done in approximately l5 feet
wide strips, along the contour, with IS feet wide strips between left
undisturbed.
Construct closed contour furrows on areas exhibiting rills and gullies,
• conswMed in accordance with Rill and Gully Plan.
Completed 1 l /99
Construction of Refuse Ditch No. 1 Extension Completed 10/99
Perform fertilizer and manure application, inter-seeding, and Complete by 5/31/00
mulching on non-topsoiled RDA slope areas west of Refuse Ditch
extension (approx. 3.4 acres), shown on Figure 2, pg. 488. Proposed
work to include application of chemical fertilizer (30 Ib/acre as P2O5),
and approximately 456 cu. yds. of manure/ wood chips/straw mixture
to obtain 25~ organic material by volume of top 4 inches of soil.
Incorporate fertilizer and manure mix in soil with chisel plow or disc
plow. This soil preparation will be done to both incorporate the
manure and conserve the existing soil structure. Seed mixture (shown
on Table 3, pg. 525) will be broadcast on plowed surface, then the
same seed mix, minus the shrubs, will be drilled at half the rate
shown. Operation of drill will be on the contour. Apply 4,000 Ib/
acre of weed-free, sloughgrass hay, or equivalent long-stem hay on
the surface and crimp into the surface.
•
485 Revised; 03/23/00
Minor Revision #17
