Extraction and loading of the processing equipment feeder
shall be, as before, done by wheeled front-loader.
When the available gravel resources are mined to exhaustion
in Unit II mining area the permit financial warranty shall
be increased to include the mining activity of Unit III,
which is the 150-foot wide area immediately north of Unit
II. The overburden that was earlier dozed north into a
Unit III berm shall be dozed back into the Unit II excava-
tion, along with the overburden that naturally lies over the
south half of Unit III. Such material shall be spread
evenly over the worked-out pit floor of Unit II to match
the finished grade of the formerly reclaimed Unit I
area, except that the triangular shaped east 225 feet of
Unit 22 worked-out pit floor shall be left un-backfilled
in order that it may be utilized as an extension of the
process/stockpile area (and thus allow access to Unit III
mining). The steep Unit II west headwall shall be sloped
to 3H to 1V by "cut ~ fill" dozing. Topsoil from the
stockpile west of Unit II shall then be spread evenly over
the smoothed, backfilled surface of the unit. At the
appropriate climatic opportunity the finished surface
shall be reseeded and mulched per the project seeding
specification. Portions of Unit II reclamation completed
shall be requested to be released from the financial
warranty at the appropriate time.
MINING UNIT III ~ SUCCEEDING UNITS
Unused southerly portions of the initial Proc/Stock area
shall be vacated, rip-loosened, topsoiled, and revegetated
for release from the permit financial warranty. The finan-
cial warranty shall also at this time be increased to
include stripping of topsoil from Unit IV to be stockpiled,
as before, 25 feet to the west of that unit. The balance of
overburden from above the north half of Unit III shall, as
before be dozed to the north in a berm in the south half of
the next 150-foot wide IInit IV.
Mining of gravel from IInit III, and succeeding units shall
be similar to the previous units, beginning at the east end
of each stripped unit and proceeding west at full width of
the unit (150 feet) and full depth of the available resource
(9 to 12 feet). Processing and stockpiling of produced
material shall be similarly conducted in the described
Proc/Stock area to the southeast As before, the worked-
