iz
A~IINING PLAN
SEC 12 & 11, T35N, RI7W, NbIPh7
STONE GRAVEL PIT
DAREN STONE -PROPRIETOR
EXHIBIT D
A wheeled front-loader is to be employed in grade level
excavation of surface alluvial gravel deposits at the full
depth of the gravel resource, following the stripping and
stockpiling of 6 to 12 inches of surface soils (including
vegetation). Initially financial warranty shall be posted
only for reclamation for the disturbance of the
process/stockpile area, for the entire activity of mining
the first unit, and for stripping surface soil from the
second unit to be mined.
MINING UNIT I
The initial unit to be mined, "Unit I", is located 100 feet
north and 150 feet east of the southwest permit/property
corner. It extends 150 feet north and 350 to 450 feet east,
encompassing 1.4 acres of mining surface. The next 150-foot
wide unit to be mined shall be directly north of Unit I, but
extends several hundred feet further east than Unit I at its
north boundary. A 4-acre process/stockpile (Proe/Stock)
area just east of Units I 6 II, being approximately 400 by
400 feet, including the existing main access road, shall
initially be stripped of 6 to 12 inches of surface soil and
leveled up for use. Such surface soils stripped shall be
stockpiled along the west half of the south edge of that
Proc/Stock area, and shall be seeded for erosion control per
the reclamation seeding specification of Exhibit E below.
Next, 6 to 8 inches of surface soils shall be stripped from
the mining IInits I 6 II, to be placed between the west
boundaries of those units and the west permit/property
boundary. A 25-foot setback shall be maintained between
that "topsoil" stockpile and Units I 6 II to allow room for
"cut & fill" slope reduction of the west headwalls of those
mining units. Surface stripping and stockpiling shall be
accomplished with elevating wheeled scrapers, tracked bull-
dozers, or a combination of scraper/bulldozers. Topsoil
